Get back the old search engine!! Now it's very confusing, 2007 and 2010 comes up mixed!
Whe searching "search all forums"-one can not see latest post first, they come mixed from 2007 and then suddenly 201o. It's also very difficult to understand which one is the original post and which is the answers.

Fix the search tool that you broke about 1 year ago
...so that it can, say, find posts that mention the word "fire".
http://search.lonelyplanet.com/listing?Nty=1&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=All&N=4294967226&Ntt=fireJust an example.
Like the way Google can:

LP dashboard with its LP analytics, ad preferences, adsense details and basic customisation for lp.
A basic dashboard for LP blog users to customise ads, make sure adsense id is correct, lp's own analytics of our blogs and basic customisation of how our blogs appear on the site. Also with the ability to select the widgets that will appear on LP's site - in a very basic model.

allow more control over the layout of our content inside LP
The content picked up by LP through our feeds is often displayed in an awkward manner. It would be nice if we had some control to wrap text around photos, work on placement of photos, etc. from within the LP site.

The search function should list threads not posts
Having to look at the individual posts is very tiring. Would make more sense to lists threads, because in a thread about Paris, most likely every post would say "Paris" somewhere

install a feature that prohibits posts from showing up in more than one location on the LP site
If I create a very generic post and put tags for every single region or country then it'll automatically show up on every single Lonely Planet page. Some people may try to take advantage of this flaw in order to increase potential Google Ads revenue.

make google ads more targeted to the post, not travel in general
Right now, ads are very generic .. theory would be that ads more targeted to the content in the blog post would generate more revenue.

Add a "Share this" function so readers can share a blog post directly from LP.com
Make it easy for readers to share content they like on Twitter, Facebook, Digg etc. with a "Share This" function at the bottom of every post as it appears on LonelyPlanet.com

blogger byline with every post to encourage people to visit the blog
From the technomadia guys "maybe a useful feature might be a blogger byline with the post.. to help put the content in context and reason to learn more about the blogger?
"Chris and Cherie of Technomadia travel the US full time in their awesome solar powered geeked out trailer, taking their cat Kiki to see amazing places! You can follow their journey at www.technomadia.com""
